This one-day-only free street festival transforms Gay and High [N. High St. and Gay St. in downtown Columbus] to a pedestrian-only winter wonderland experience, complete with an iceless ice rink with complimentary skate rentals, live ice sculpture carving, live DJ entertainment, DORA [Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area] beverages, and food trucks. It’s sure to be a merry and gay time!

We invite you to join us in honoring her legacy on Saturday December 7, 12noon to 3pm, at the Warner Woods Pavilion in Westerville, Ohio, where we will gather to share stories and to be in community.

Rev. James Lawson Jr. taught a course on Nonviolence with the UCLA Labor Center for 22 years. He had a profound impact on our students over the years and inspired the UCLA community to embrace the philosophy of nonviolence.

On the heels of the election, the ACLU’s legal team is busy preparing for oral arguments in front of the Supreme Court in our landmark transgender justice case, U.S. v. Skrmetti, which could have far-reaching implications on our bodily autonomy.

The incoming administration may resume explosive nuclear weapons testing in Nevada. These tests are unnecessary, risk accelerating a nuclear arms race, and are contaminating the environment. The United States stopped such testing in 1992 — resuming would provide additional fuel for the budding nuclear arms race and encourage other countries to follow suit.
