Unfortunately this Ohio recount only works to solidify the Republican position. Those who perpetrated this crime already had this all figured in. That's why the
exit poles are so important. That is the true vote. People coming out of the poling booths saying they voted for Kerry (and believing it) when the computer says they voted for Bush. This type of fraud doesn't show up in a recount. It is only a revote that can address these issues. Please press on for a revote. It's the only way justice can be served. Thank you for keeping the momentum on this most critical issue. Our democracy is at stake!
Thank you.
As for your disbelief about why head Democratic party officials and the networks refuse to challenge the Republicans about vote fraud, look no further than the reports that emerged during October about junkies in Ohio getting hard cash for registering non-existent people as Democrats. If they dared to challenge the officially tallied results of the Ohio elections, the Republicans would pull out all the stops and investigate the fraudulent attempts to swell the rolls of registered Democrats.
The choice is yours: get over it or risk public humiliation as indicated above.
Goodness gracious. That's like asking Vladimir Putin for commentary on how to conduct fair elections.
This isn't about Kerry and Bush, no matter how much journalists try to frame the issue in partisan terms. It's about the integrity of our election process. Doesn't it strike you as remarkable that even without help from newspapers and TV, one American in five doesn't believe the election on Nov. 2 was honest? What would the percentage be if the New York Times, CBS, and CNN had presented balanced coverage all along, instead of virtually ignoring the problem?
Richard Conglianese, Ohio Assistant Attorney General, is seeking a court order to protect Blackwell from testifying under oath about how the election was run. Blackwell, who administered Ohio's November 2 balloting, served as co-chair of the Bush-Cheney campaign.
James R. Dicks, Miami County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, filed a motion to block a deposition in his county while Conglianese filed to block depositions in ten key Ohio counties.
First, we wish to express thanks to each and all of you. We have no way adequately to express how important your support has been to us.
Second, on December 21 the Fourth District Court of Appeals entered the following in its docket: "Given that it appears Appellant has made a good faith claim of confidentiality her motion to stay the Trial Court's judgment finding her in contempt and ordering her incarcerated is granted pending appeal."
This Court decision means that, at least until the Court of Appeals renders a judgment on the merits, Alice is not faced with going to jail if she does not testify. Her attorney will now pursue the appeal on the merits.
The "Democrats" are " selling you down the river" . Abandon them now, tell them so,
get the new act together now. They refused to run a resolute, informative, antifascist
campaign in 2004, and now they are caving in to the DLC agents of the RNC.
It is time to end all progressive support for the "Democrats". It is time to
organize MASSIVELY for a New Progressive Party. The New Progressive Party must
go out to the American people and put to them squarely the simple question of
whether it is worth it to give up health care, medicare, social security, education,
clean water, clean air, safe medications, civil international relations,
and many more things in order to get antidemocratic prayer in the schools.
Damn the "Democrats"! Full Speed Ahead !!!
