A Year of Genocide - Despite the Unbelievable Pain, Palestinians Emerge Stronger

No one had expected that one year would be enough to recenter the Palestinian cause as the world’s most pressing issue, and that millions of people across the globe, would, once again rally for Palestinian freedom. 

 The last year witnessed an Israeli genocide in Gaza, unprecedented violence in the West Bank, but also legendary expressions of Palestinian sumud, or steadfastness. 

 It is not the enormity of the Israeli war, but the degree of the Palestinian sumud that has challenged what once seemed to be a foregone conclusion to the Palestinian struggle. 

Israel is engaged in targeted assassinations in Lebanon

Don't be fooled by Netanyahu. Israel is targeting all Lebanese, not just Hezbullah, Shiia, Sunni, Christians, Druze, Alwis, and Syrian and Palestinian refugees who live in Lebanon, Crime Minister Netanyahu acts as if he lives by the law of jungle. Why is that not making news? There are currently 250,000 Palestinian living in Lebanon. Mostly, they are living in 12 refugee camps that have been run by UNRWA since 1948. Lebanon is also home to around 1.5 million Syrian refugees, many of whom are now being forced to flee again. The IOF is now bombing many residential buildings in Lebanon without warning the civilian population. Just like in Gaza, whenever Israel gets hammered by Hamas on the ground, they bomb civilians from the sky. Lebanese political commentator said, " Israel is telling Lebanese civilians to evacuate their buildings in Beirut in the middle of the night they are sleeping before bombing them 10 minutes later. And then they say, "We warned civilians." Fearing to face resistance fighters on the ground in Palestine and Lebanon, The IOF is now resorting to what they do best.

When a private company suddenly put up toll booths in the middle of a taxpayer-funded highway, local residents in El Progreso, Honduras were furious.

They knew the new fees would also hike the price of food, bus fares, and their daily commutes — and that making it in their country, where roughly half of the population lives below the poverty line, was going to become unbearable.

Dropping 2,000 lb bombs on apartment buildings, as Israel is doing in Gaza and Lebanon, is “anti-terrorism” to the biased western media.Today, many Americans have been fooled into believing that anyone who opposes US imperial policies abroad is a terrorist - a mad dog that must be destroyed on sight. In US media, Hezbollah, Hamas, Iranian are usually accompanied by the attached term “terrorist”.

The Assassination of Hassan Nasrallah: Martyr or Terrorist?

On Friday September 27, 2024, Israel launched a massive bombing on residential areas of Haret Hreik neighborhood of Beirut's southern suburbs, that resulted in the killing of Hezbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah along with 12 top Hezbullah commanders. The attack was carried out by six US made F-35 aircraft that carried six two tons bombs. The explosions left a crater 98 feet deep.It was the deadliest such attack on Beirut since the 2006 Israeli war on Lebanon, with Lebanese health authorities reporting at least 12 people killed and dozens more wounded in the attack.  Nasrallah is survived by his wife, Fatima Yassin, his three sons Jawad, Mohammed-Mahdi and Mohammed Ali, and several grandchildren, according to the AFP. His eldest son, Hadi, was killed in 1997, while fighting against Israeli invading forces in south Lebanon, and his daughter Zeinab was reportedly killed in the Beirut airstrike on Friday. According to CBS News. Nasrallah became secretary general of Hezbullah in 1992 at 35, the public face of the group.
