Meeting

We have our third session  building on our collective work so far to develop true collective resistance to defeat all forms of U.S. militarization, domestically and abroad. As the state’s tactics of war continue to intensify, these coordinated efforts are vital to ensure an escalation of resistance and clarity of approach.

Coordinating Committee:

Venezuela’s oil future. Worsening climate impacts, despite soaring clean energy. Elections in the US, Brazil, and Bangladesh. A potential post-COP30 surprise. The 89% Project’s next phase, and much more. How do we as journalists cover the big climate stories in 2026? And how do we get industry colleagues, in our own newsrooms and beyond, to join us?

Learn how to set up a neighborhood ICE-Watch group from an experienced group in Central Ohio.

Organizing on the hyper-local level is the best way to defend your neighbors when ICE comes around! This can seem intimidating, but anyone can get their neighbors together for this important work. Come to this training to learn how to get started from a local organizer with a large group doing lots of good work!

What does it mean to be a Black man in Central Ohio in 2026? In Central Ohio, Black men face a unique and often underexamined set of challenges — and opportunities — shaped by generations of systemic inequities and the evolving dynamics of a rapidly growing region. Black men continue to be disproportionately affected by disparities in health, education, income, and incarceration. We’ll explore the realities of navigating mental health stigma, economic exclusion, and public safety concerns — while spotlighting the resilience, innovation, and leadership that define the community.

In the face of blatant, illegal US attacks on Venezuela, popular movements around the world have taken to the streets in support of their Bolivarian Revolution. President Maduro has been kidnapped, charged with Bogus “narco-terrorism” and conspiracy and imprisoned in NY.

The Venezuelan people are resisting, and we must support them. We must continue to defend and stand alongside the brave people of Venezuela, against U.S. terrorism and destabilization. We must have coordinated and organized resistance against imperialist war for sustained and growing international solidarity.

An Invitation

Calling all clergy and all people of conscience. A meeting to organize people of faith to discuss an action against ICE's tactic and detention of immigrants. If you have asked yourself, "what more can I do?" about the Gestapo in our state then please come to this meeting. We need your input.

Let’s Transform the Democratic Party

We face a clear choice: continue politics that serve the richest 1%, or build a Democratic Party that fights for everyday Ohioans. The Progressive Caucus is choosing the second option and we need you with us.

Join us on January 18 at 7:30 PM for a virtual training on how to strengthen the Ohio Democratic Party and county parties across the state.

The Ohio Oil and Gas Land Management Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, January 12, at 1 p.m. to take testimony about changes to the standard lease form for oil and gas companies to frack our state parks and public lands. This is our first chance in almost three years to testify at a commission meeting, and we want to make the most of it. This virtual testimony training will go over how to testify and talking points for what to say in your testimony.
