Meeting

The DSA’s City Council Non-Cooperation Campaign focuses on creating non-cooperation resolutions in cities across Central Ohio, which pressure cities from cooperating with ICE and discriminating against trans individuals. This work includes attending city council meetings, providing testimony, canvassing, and working to create clear, concise language in resolutions and petitions, among other documents. In addition, they host educational events to explain this work and engage the public in how they can also pressure local councils to take action.

Ohio's voucher programs have devastated public school funding by moving public dollars away from public schools to private schools, which are not held to the same standards.  Vouchers aren't free... they're fraud.

Join Honesty for Ohio Education for the official launch of the Voucher Accountability Project—a press event and protest against the institutional defunding of our public schools, hosted at Moler Elementary, a Columbus City School that will be closing at the end of this school year due to state funding cuts.

PEOPLE POWERED

Join us Wednesday 5/27 at 7:00 PM to learn what ballot initiatives are, how they’re critical to our democracy, and why they're being threatened.

We’ll be joined by our friends from Ohio Ballot Protection and other coalition partners who have common sense petitions currently in circulation to move us toward the Ohio we want to become.

Learn more about the following petitions: Equal Rights, Right to Marry, Banning Mega Data Centers, and Qualified Immunity.

The Billionaires Have Two Parties, We Need One of Our Own summarizes recent survey data to argue that a majority of voters in four industrial states support bold policies intended to curb corporate power, ensure the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, and improve the job prospects and standards of living for the millions of Americans who depend on their labor, not their investments, to support themselves.
