Goodness gracious. That's like asking Vladimir Putin for commentary on how to conduct fair elections.
This isn't about Kerry and Bush, no matter how much journalists try to frame the issue in partisan terms. It's about the integrity of our election process. Doesn't it strike you as remarkable that even without help from newspapers and TV, one American in five doesn't believe the election on Nov. 2 was honest? What would the percentage be if the New York Times, CBS, and CNN had presented balanced coverage all along, instead of virtually ignoring the problem?
Richard Conglianese, Ohio Assistant Attorney General, is seeking a court order to protect Blackwell from testifying under oath about how the election was run. Blackwell, who administered Ohio's November 2 balloting, served as co-chair of the Bush-Cheney campaign.
James R. Dicks, Miami County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, filed a motion to block a deposition in his county while Conglianese filed to block depositions in ten key Ohio counties.
First, we wish to express thanks to each and all of you. We have no way adequately to express how important your support has been to us.
Second, on December 21 the Fourth District Court of Appeals entered the following in its docket: "Given that it appears Appellant has made a good faith claim of confidentiality her motion to stay the Trial Court's judgment finding her in contempt and ordering her incarcerated is granted pending appeal."
This Court decision means that, at least until the Court of Appeals renders a judgment on the merits, Alice is not faced with going to jail if she does not testify. Her attorney will now pursue the appeal on the merits.
The "Democrats" are " selling you down the river" . Abandon them now, tell them so,
get the new act together now. They refused to run a resolute, informative, antifascist
campaign in 2004, and now they are caving in to the DLC agents of the RNC.
It is time to end all progressive support for the "Democrats". It is time to
organize MASSIVELY for a New Progressive Party. The New Progressive Party must
go out to the American people and put to them squarely the simple question of
whether it is worth it to give up health care, medicare, social security, education,
clean water, clean air, safe medications, civil international relations,
and many more things in order to get antidemocratic prayer in the schools.
Damn the "Democrats"! Full Speed Ahead !!!
-E.S.
When Congress reconvenes in January, at least 14 members of the House of Representatives will challenge the validity of the 2004 election. They will request an immediate investigation into many problems and irregularities encountered in the election.
According to the Electoral Count Act of 1887, one senator and one House Representative are required to contest an election prior to inauguration. We have the representatives; we still need a senator. Please let your senators know that you want them to stand up with House Representatives and contest the vote.
The signed petitions will be delivered to each senator in person by a coalition of representatives from a variety of concerned organizations and individuals. We will also deliver copies of signed petitions from all states to the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary to encourage them to hold formal hearings on the 2004 election. our senators and the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary:
At the beginning of a new millenium, American citizens find their security under threat. Islamic fundamentalism and rogue nations with nuclear ambitions are the obvious and external threats, but there are growing threats to our economic security as well. The threats of hunger, poverty, inadequate housing, inadequate health care, inadequate child care, inadequate education, and inadequate retirement security loom larger for an increasing number of Americans.
My president took us to war in Iraq;
He said there were weapons of mass destruction there.
None have been found
He said Saddam Hussein was developing nuclear weapons
No proof of this has emerged.
He said there were ties between Saddam Hussein
and Al Qaeda
We now know this is not true.
If I mention these things, I will be labeled a Bush-hater.
After all, my president talks to God.
Since the war began, 1281 Americans
were killed in Iraq – 9765 wounded.
Since the war began more than 14,668 Iraqi civilians died.
Many were children. Some were injured
like Ali Ismail Abbas, age 12, when
one of our missiles hit his home, killed his family
and blew off both his arms above his elbows.
I cannot ask: what did the boy do to deserve that?
If I did, I would be called a Bush-hater
I do not hate my president
I pray for my president every day.
I pray that my president will stop talking to God
and start listening to Him.
