Dear Sirs,
I just finished reading your most recent article (http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/2005/1559In), and I am appalled, to say the least. Not for your article, mind you, but for the truth about our elections you have once again made crystal clear. Our American Democracy. I am afraid to say, may be lost. The Republican Party has apparently determined that Ohio and Florida are THE vulnerable states for election manipulation, and have all the equipment and personnel in place to insure future victories in elections in spite of the will of the people.
I dare say gentlemen, that if this situation continues as it appears to be headed, the people of the United States will no longer have a say in who controls the executive branch of our government, much less the legislative or judicial brancehs of government. In agreement with your past articles, I concur with all you have written about the election thefts of 2000, 2002, and 2004 (and most recently 11/2005). Other than yourselves and a few side groups of concerned citizens, there is little or no major media investigative reporting on this issue. Therefore, it seems obvious to me that reporters are either anxious to give up their constitutional rights as citizens, or that the corporate pressure to keep them quiet is threatening and overwhelming.
In conclusion, let me admonish you to keep up your work, most especially your efforts to be nationally recognized. The recent GAO report gave broad support to your allegations of impropriety in our elections, and many others in this country are doing what we can to help spread the truth. I, personally, have more than 30 members of my group (www.jimmysmarch.com) who I communicate with weekly if not daily to help spread the truth about this issue and that of the 9/11 perpertrated on our citizens by our own government. These members send my emails to their friends, and so on, and so on. That is why we of the "internet underground" understand and spread the truth to all who will listen about the evils confronting our society.
Please keep up the valuable work you are doing, and know, confidently, that you are speaking and writing for millions of true patriots who believe in you. I fear the battle to retain our democracy is just beginning, and knowing that it is being attacked from multible points, makes our sharing of knowledge all the more important.
Sincerely,
James L. LaGarde
