Some will react to the notion of creative Destruction, as an obvious contradiction in terms. But, they just don't understand. According to our Ruling Classes, the term encapsulates the Engine of Progress and the vital role of the “West” in the process.

The above photos reveal less than 1% of the damage that has been done by the “Civilized World” during the so-called “American Century” - which has lasted more than a century and a half.  The US reduced EVERY Japanese city to a similar condition. And according to General LeMay, his air force destroyed every town, village, city, and hamlet in the North of Korea and most of the South. They destroyed all dams and dikes, flooding the plains, and sprayed a half-million tons of defoliants and other chemical agents. Same in Vietnam a few years later. We know about Iraq, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq again, and Libya. In Libya, they took care to ruin the “Great Man-Made River” project - which was greening the desert.

So, how is this to be seen as Progress? Michael Ledeen, of the US State Department and National Security Council explains it this way:

“Creative destruction is our middle name, both within our own society and abroad. We tear down the old order every day, from business to science, literature, art, architecture, and cinema to politics and the law. Our enemies have always hated this whirlwind of energy and creativity, which menaces their traditions (whatever they may be) and shames them for their inability to keep pace. Seeing America undo traditional societies, they fear us, for they do not wish to be undone. They cannot feel secure so long as we are there, for our very existence—our existence, not our politics—threatens their legitimacy. They must attack us in order to survive, just as we must destroy them to advance our historic mission.”1

Before finishing with Ledeen, it's important to stress that he was no outlier in the American Security State apparatus - even if, at times, he was a bit more frank. Note his take on Italian Fascism - in critiquing certain Italian Marxists - that is the idea that Fascism was supported and financed by the Capitalist Class in order to destroy the unions and socialists - he argued that Fascism captured a large section of the Masses who understood “the rightness of the Fascist cause.”2 Even in this, he isn't exactly an outlier. As quiet as it's kept today - the US was the MAIN supporter of Italian Fascism under four administrations - Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, and Roosevelt. Fulsome military, economic, and diplomatic support. Check "The United States and Fascist Italy, 1922-1940" by David F. Schmitz.

So, to come to the point (you know I don't like to soak up too much of my reader's time).

You'll not understand “Creative Destruction” unless you understand CLASS. The Capitalist Elite and its many layers of minions - politicians, intellectuals, generals, etc. - can actually create NOTHING. Look around you - buildings, cathedrals, housing, streets, cell towers, bridges, dams, fields of corn - whatever and in whatever location on earth. Do you imagine that even one brick has been laid by the Capitalists or their minions?? Well, someone might be able to dig up a case where so-and-so DID start out as a bricklayer, perhaps it was a summer job. Point stands though - only an isolated exception proving the rule.

I mentioned that something called “Progress” is the core OBJECTIVE of the Creative Destroyers. Progress is taken for granted by almost all these days - cell phones, air travel, etc. But, perhaps take a look at this French village dating from the 13th century - Castelnaud-la-Chapelle - looks livable - certainly more livable than Pyongyang in the 50's, Iraq, Gaza - or even Detroit or Los Angeles today. So, the point is that “Progress” is ambiguous and disputable. What should not be in dispute though - in my opinion - is that the parasitical capitalist elite MUST be overthrown - and the CREATIVE CLASS - the Working Class must take the HELM.

I'll just add a recommendation that you might google China's mega-projects - to see what can be ACCOMPLISHED in this world - with a planned Economy.
