Ed Guide Training Set for March
We are looking for dedicated volunteers for Education Guides to lead a small groups of children on adventures around our farm and nature preserve on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. Invasive Species Teams
Stratford has several invasive species including garlic mustard, multiflora rose & honeysuckle, like many areas in the Midwest. We are putting together some “invasive species teams". These volunteer teams can help in a variety of ways: organizing workdays, collecting data, mapping areas and training other volunteers. Landscape Upkeep
Landscape opportunities abound in the spring at Stratford. Planting and working the earth is at the top of the list going into this 2007 season. We look for those people who would like to make a strong commitment for, perhaps once a week or twice monthly, to care for our gardens and landscape. Farmer's Helper
In the spring, being a farmer's helper may include preparing and maintaining the fields, animal chores, carpentry, and other farm maintenance and upkeep. Saturday Receptionist
Come spend a Saturday morning at Stratford. This volunteer answers the phone, takes messages, greets and directs visitors to activities, trails, u-pick areas and sells farm products. They may also water plants; do light office and library cleaning and dusting.
