Portsmouth/Piketon Residents for Environmental Safety and Security [PRESS] formally extends an invitation for your attendance to an open public forum being held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, 1-5pm, in the conference room at the Holiday Inn located at 711 Second St. Portsmouth Ohio, 45662.
Our organization has initiated a gathering of scientific experts, attorneys, a former FBI agent, worker advocates, investigators and researchers, reporters, and multiple victims from the operations conducted at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant site.
The moderator for the event will be Bill Shope from WNXT Portsmouth and Steve Zeltzer host of WorkWeek, Pacifica Producer. Hosting the event will be Vina Colley, PRESS President and co-founder of National Nuclear Workers for Justice (NNWJ) after becoming an injured worker from her exposure at the PGDP and sponsored by PRESS, Justice for East Palestine Residents and Workers (JFEPRW), National Single Payer, Railroad Workers United (RWU), Lee County Labor Chapter, United Front Committee for Labor Party (UFCLP)

• Joseph Mangano, the Executive Director for the Radiation and Public Health Project, having conducted a prior cancer study for the counties surrounding the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant, Three Mile Island, New York, and more.
• Jon Lipsky, a former FBI agent who led a raid while serving a warrant at Rocky Flats, Colorado due to environmental violations at the site and shutting down Plutonium operations.
• Kevin Thompson, Attorney from Thompson Barney law firm leading the current lawsuit representing victims Julie Dunham and Brad Lykins also in attendance at the forum.
• Dr. Michael Ketterer, Professor emeritus of chemistry and biochemistry at Northern Arizona University, having conducted radiological surveys of Rocky Flats, Colorado, Piketon, Ohio, and many other U.S. States.
• Paul Mobley, PRESS member and a former Civil/Operating Engineer, having researched nuclear and health physics and conducted an independent radiological survey of soil around the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant
• Terri Ann Smith, an enduring PRESS member, former member of the Site Specific Advisory Board [SSAB] for the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant and an animal and environmental activist based in Athens County, Ohio.
• Paula Spears, PRESS member and daughter of Sharon Spears former Janitorial Foreman at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant resulting in several cancer diagnoses and treatments ultimately taking her life.
• Jason Sally, investigative journalist and Certified Human Rights Consultant reporting on the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant and Chillicothe areas and writer of articles for various sites.
• James White, former Ohio National Guard member stationed at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant serving his country while being exposed at the site leading to a diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
• Bruce Anderson, a Business Development Manager for CNS Cares for Eastern Ohio and Eastern Kentucky with 8 years of experience working in the EEOCIPA workers compensation program having helped hundreds of people with their claims.
• Julie Dunham, a Pike County resident living her entire life miles from the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer twice with the second diagnosis taking her life. Also, her second child was diagnosed with a rare disease named Mylodysplastic Syndrome ultimately also taking her life.
• Brad Lykins, Pike County resident having his son diagnosed with APL Leukemia, a rare type of blood cancer caused by exposure to ionizing radiation. His exposure came from Neptunium and Americium originating from the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
• Bob Malone, a Pike County resident having a brother diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and two brain tumors lasting only six weeks before passing. Bob also lost a child over 40 years ago and believes it was due to the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
