On Thursday, November 15, extremist anti-abortion legislators in the Ohio House passed the six-week abortion ban, furthering their goal to outlaw abortion in the State of Ohio.

The Ohio General Assembly passed the six-week ban once before, and Governor-Elect Mike DeWine has promised to sign the bill if it passes the legislature. Despite Kasich’s veto last year, state politicians continue to push this unconstitutional ban, which could mean abortion access in Ohio will become inaccessible for the majority of women.

Statement from Iris E. Harvey, President and CEO, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio:

“The Ohio Legislature is continuing their ideological crusade to ban abortion in Ohio – starting with the unconstitutional six-week abortion ban. Many women do not even know they are pregnant before six weeks.

“This bill takes away a woman’s ability to make a decision before she knows she has a decision to make. This legislation criminalizes physicians from providing critical care to tens of thousands of patients who need it. Women should be trusted and respected to make their own health care decisions, period.

They say they can’t believe it, it’s a sacrilegious shame
Now, who would want to hurt such a hero of the game?
But you know I predicted it; I knew he had to fall
How did it happen? I hope his suffering was small.
Tell me every detail, I’ve got to know it all,
And do you have a picture of the pain?

You are aware of only one unrest;
Oh, never learn to know the other!
Two souls, alas, are dwelling in my breast,
And one is striving to forsake its brother.

President John Kennedy was assassinated by the U.S. national-security state, led by the C.I.A., on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas.  That is a fact beyond dispute, except for those who wish to engage in pseudo-debates to deny the obvious.  I prefer not to, since there is nothing to debate.

BANGKOK, Thailand -- China's government sent more than one million
majority ethnic Han Chinese to live uninvited in the homes of minority
Uighur families in Xinjiang province and report if the Muslims display
Islamic or unpatriotic beliefs which need to be forcibly reformed.

"Had a Uighur host just greeted a neighbor in Arabic with the words
'Assalamu Alaykum'? That would need to go in the notebook," and
reported to China's authorities, said American anthropologist Darren
Byler.

"Was that a copy of the Koran in the home? Was anyone praying on
Friday or fasting during Ramadan? Was a little sister's dress too long
or a little brother's beard irregular? And why was no one playing
cards or watching movies?" Mr. Byler said, describing traditional
Muslim behavior which China's civilian monitors added to the dossiers.

Mr. Byler's 5,500-word investigative research was published by New
York-based Asia Society's Center on U.S.-China Relations on October
25.

Most of us know gay conversion therapy is a hoax that preys on the fears of gay people and their families, especially those whose religion rejects non-traditional sexual orientations. What most of us don’t know—unless we’ve been unlucky enough to go through it—is just how this therapy attempts to bring about its unlikely transformation.

One person who does know is Gerrard Conley, whose parents pushed him into conversion therapy and who subsequently wrote Boy Erased, a memoir about his experience. The book has been brought to the big screen in a tale that is both harrowing and illuminating.

Directed by Joel Edgerton, who also wrote the screenplay and portrays a key supporting character, the flick begins by spelling out the dilemma faced by its teenage protagonist.

Out of town people will park near and gather at the corner of State and Dakota (behind the Franklinton library) starting at 2, then march together up to the DRC Central Office at 770 W Broad at around 2:30.
