Bases

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

If you live among the Other 96% — that portion of humanity that the U.S. government does not claim to represent, but where the U.S. military maintains some 1,000 major military bases, here are some helpful tips and past examples of success.

First of all, do everything you can to let people in the United States know how much they are paying financially for the bases in your country. While some of us in the United States primarily object to bases because of their use in creating and conducting campaigns of mass murder, many, including some who control U.S. media outlets, find the topic of financial cost far more acceptable.

Now there's a coffee shop "Portia's Next Door" that had its grand opening in February - a new coffee shop and deli with pastries, snacks, juices, smoothies and light breakfasts. Free Press Dining Editor and resident vegan wrote: "So cool, got to have a vegan hot chocolate topped with vegan whipped creme on this cold, rainy day! Also, OMG the egg salad is absolutely awesome."

Family and friends gathered to show their love and support for Donna Dalton who was murdered by former Columbus Police vice officer Andrew Mitchell at the site of a vigil, Saturday, March 23. Justice will only be served until Andrew Mitchell and those high ranking officers within the Columbus Police Department who have known for years about the ongoing corruption within this division are all placed in a cell. #Justice4Donna.

To the Editor,

Peter Navarro’s op-ed “Why America Needs a Stronger Defense Industry” argues that “Investing in the sector means more jobs at home and improved security abroad.” He praises the construction of tanks used in wars in Iraq.
